Manuel Antonio is one of the most exclusive areas in Costa Rica. It started as a tiny village with one of the world's most beautiful National Parks. Manuel Antonio National Park lies on the Pacific coast 7 kilometers south of the town of Quepos between Damas and Matapalos. It was founded in 1972 before the area became a tourist haven.
Manuel antonio is one of the lushest destinations in Costa Rica offering extraordinary scenic sights with picture-postcard backdrops, white sandy beaches and thickly forested green hills. Manuel Antonio National Park is one of Costa Rica's best known and most often visited parks. The park is an island of verdant wildness in a rapidly developing area with a relatively intact wet tropical forest and abundant wildlife. There are many activities for the traveller to this area - walking the Park's easy trails, whitewater rafting, ocean cruising, horseback riding, fishing, and sea kayaking.
